In memoriam

When Aekaterini married her husband Leonides Vlahoulis, she brought with her a dowry which paid for a new home with a store underneath it to be built in the Agios Triadas (Holy Trinity) neighborhood of Kontovazaina. Expert stonemasons came from Langadia - an area famous for its stonemasons - to build it. Many people came by to tour and admire the building at the time. Aekaterini was also a "catch" in other ways. She was said to be so beautiful that they used to even sing a song for her..."Stavroula ke Katerinio...come out from the store so I can look at you!..."
