Alexandru Boicescu was a medical doctor, professor at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest. There is a street in Bucharest named after him. Parents: Anastase Boicescu 1807-1872 and Elena Barsescu-Coculescu 1811-1864. Children with spouse Maria Elena Nicolescu: Nicolae Boicescu 1885-1956, Alexandru Boicescu 1886-1887, and Alice Elena Boicescu 1889-1958.
