In memoriam

In May 1945 about six young men that had been in the Home Guard remained in Bizovik rather than fleeing. Orders were given for all of them to report to the authorities. Franc Jesih from the Ukec farm was on the list of those imprisoned at Poljanski Nasip. He was murdered at 11 pm on 2 June 1945. He had a son and a daughter, and his wife was pregnant when he was murdered. Source: Zaveza 66 (18 June 2011)
