former mayor, museum official, writer. Decorated Order of Finnish Lion, also decorated by Portugal and Austria, Order of Canada, 2009. Board directors Athens Young Men's Christian Association; Member Greek South Africa Association (honorary president), Hellenic Canada Association of Greece (honorary president), Foreign Press Association Greece, Society Preservation of Greek Heritage (Washington, trustee since 1993). He was the founder of Vorres Museum, located in Paiania, East Attica, Greece. From 1991 to 1998 he served as mayor in the Paiania municipality.
