The family story says Janez was a coal merchant for the Count von Auersperg at the castle Dvorec Soteska. He bought land from the count and moved to Dobindol, Slovenia in 1853. ~~~~~ Družinska zgodba pravi, da je bil Janez trgovski premog grof von Auersperg Na gradu Dvorec Soteska. Od grofa je kupil zemljišče in se leta 1853 preselil v Dobindol.
