John N Phillips

In memoriam

John N. Phillips was the second son of Nick (Felactu) Phillips and Smaro "Mary" (Koulaxizes) Phillips. His father Nick was one of the founders of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Oklahoma City in 1917. John was the first of their six children to be born in the United States after their emmigration to the United States from Greece. John served in the US Army during World War II and he worked as a firefighter for the City of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where he retired. He married Argyro Phillips. After living in Okemah, Oklahoma after his retirement, he moved to Chios, Greece, where he passed away on October 14, 2007.
