In memoriam

From Begunje. Civilian worker, murdered by the Partisans. A Partisan communiqué of 13 July 1942 states that the following people were arrested at the order of the Partisan Field Liberation Committee in Begunje: Ana Juvančič , Angela Juvančič , Ana Obreza , Jožefa Šivec , and Marija Zalar (charged with spying). The statement says that they were interrogated and immediately executed, along with Ivanka Purkart , who was charged with being in regular contact with her brother in Ljubljana, nicknamed "Malček."
