Julia Solyom de Antalfa

In memoriam

Julia Solyom de Antalfa was born in Pienkowce, county Zbaraj, Galicia; which was then in the Austrian part of Poland, and is now in Ukraine. Her parents were Hungarian from the town of Szentantalfa ("St Anthony's Woods"). Her father was an official of the Austro-Hungarian empire, stationed in Pienkowce. Her father was Ludovicus Solyom de Antalfa nobilis Hungarus, and her mother was Vincenta Husty. Julia's father died when she was young, and she and her two brothers returned to Szentantalfa, Hungary to live with their mother's family. Around the time of the American Civil War, Julia's two brothers traveled to America and lived there for the rest of their lives. Julia stayed in Hungary and died unmarried.
