Luise Marie Helene von Mecklenburg-Schwerin zu Windisch-Graetz

In memoriam

Herzogin Luise Marie Helene von Mecklenburg-Schwerin was the daughter of Paul Friedrich, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, r. 1837-1842, and his wife, Prinzessin Alexandrine von Preussen, daughter of Friedrich Wilhelm III, King of Prussia. She was married at Ludwigslust on October 20, 1849 to Hugo, Fürst zu Windisch-Graetz, with whom she had issue. She was buried on March 21, 1859 with a funeral which was conducted by Ludwig Theodor Elze, the evangelical pastor from Ljubljana, at Schloss Wagensberg.
