With German roots, Lydia was born in a family of Bessarabian colonists who tried to relocate in Măxineni, Brăila district. At a later time they moved to Constanța, Romania, where she married Adam Sezonov from Tulcea on 24th october 1908. They moved to Brăila for the rest of their life.
