I learned in the army To man an armored tank Took part in campaigns Up the hills and down the valleys By the side of majors and colonels I thank my mother For she did what pleased me To bring me back to the village And have me buried here So when she feels grief She can light me a candle And lay a flower on my grave For I came to lie here Beside my beloved father
