Maria Magdalena Knafel Pleiweis

Surname also spelled Pleiveiss, Pleiweiss, Pleyweiß , and Bleiweis; first name also spelled Marija Magdalena or simply Magdalena. She was born in Maria Elend (Sln. Podgorje) in Austrian Carinthia and died in Ljubljana. She was the third wife of Valentin Pleiweis Sr. (1775-1866), whom she married on 20 January 1856 in the Ljubljana cathedral. She was the author of "Slovenska kuharica" (Slovenian Cookbook; Ljubljana, 1868).
