In memoriam

Pandelis Sfinias was the Owner of the Express Samina Ferry Ship of the Minoan Sea Services Company. The ferry ship collided with an off shore jagged rock and sunk on September 26, 2000. 80 of the 533 on board died. Crew members did not aid the passengers and saved themselves. Captain Vassillis Giannakis received a long prison sentence. Owner Sfinias jumped to his death from his six story office building a couple of months after the disaster.
