Petru Fantana III was born in Talmacel Village, Romania to Petru II and Ana (Radoiu) Fantana. He was to be their only son. Petru III and Maria were married May 14, 1929 in the Romanian Orthodox Church of Rau Sadului Village, Sibiu County, Romania. He was a good and kind man who loved his God, his country, and his family. He always took pride in his appearance, and was a 'sharp dresser'. Words cannot express the deep love that continues to hold onto his memory.
