Simona Catrina

In memoriam

Simona Catrina was an outstanding journalist and writer, writing with great humor and fine self-irony. She graduated from high school "Mihai Eminescu" in Buzau, followed by the Faculty of Philology in Bucharest. A while she lived in Toronto, Canada, but unable to find her place she returned to her homeland where she resumed the collaboration with various national publications (Adevarul, Libertatea, Tango magazine, etc.) and blog websites. In 2016 she was diagnosed with cancer and had chemotherapy. Since 2014 she was married to Doru Roman.
