Poet and lawyer. His work has been translated into Spanish, English, French, German, Romanian and Bulgarian, among other languages, and has been honored with numerous awards including the Prize of the City of Thessaloniki (1959), the State Prize for Poetry (1972) and Poetry Prize of the Academy of Athens (1977).
